After you create graphics in Fireworks, you can easily optimize them and export them in common Web formats, as well as vector application formats. Export and optimization settings do not change the original Fireworks document, so you can create a source version of the document, and then export the graphic in a variety of Web and print formats.
Before you export for the Web, you must optimize the file to be exported. For more information on optimizing your image, see Optimizing in the workspace.
If you want to optimize as part of the export process, the Export Preview dialog box offers all the optimization options found in the workspace. The Export Preview dialog box displays any changes you make so you can see how the changes affect image quality and file size.
If you are new to optimizing and exporting Web graphics, use the Export Wizard. This wizard guides you through the export process and suggests settings.
You can export graphics for other vector applications such as Macromedia FreeHand and Flash, and Adobe Illustrator. You can also copy and paste Fireworks paths into vector applications.
